Adelaide High School participates in Rowing SA regattas and the annual Head of the River Regatta.

Students in the rowing program also participate in the annual Exchange with Melbourne Boys’ High School and Mac. Robertson Girls’ High School.

NOTE: Additional fees apply to students enrolled in the Rowing Program. These include an annual fee of $350 for involvement in the program, plus the cost of the rowing camp and uniform.

Special Entry Cricket

Adelaide High School participates in both SASSA (State schools) and SAAS (Independent schools) regular weekly competitions and State Knock-Out series. The school also participates in the Australian Five Highs Cricket Carnival in early December.

NOTE: Additional fees apply to students enrolled in the Cricket Program. These include an annual fee of $350 for involvement in the program, with an additional cost of cricket uniform & participation in intrastate and & interstate games.

Special Entry Language

Applications are to be completed for students wishing to apply for entry to the Special Language Program at Adelaide High School.

In 2020 Adelaide High School will be offering courses in:

  • Chinese
  • French
  • German
  • Italian
  • Japanese
  • Modern Greek
  • Spanish
  • Auslan

Special Language Entry Students

  • are enrolled in two language courses at Adelaide High School
  • must make a commitment to study two languages other than English for three years and at least one language until the end of Stage 2 (Year 12)

Skill Assessments

Rowing - Skill assessment will be held on Friday 5 April 2019.
Cricket - Skill assessment will be held on Monday 8 April 2019.
Language - Skill assessment will be held at Adelaide High School on Wednesday 10 April 2019. Please note that test results are confidential and for internal school purposes only. Individual results will not be released to families.

Should you be shortlisted, further information will be forwarded to you regarding the interview process.

All Applicants Please Note

There is a fee to undertake each skill assessment. Fees are outlined at the end of this form, and a payment link is provided. Payment must be made at the time of application.

Only applicants in Year 7 or equivalent will be considered. These programs are only available to students with Australian residency status or citizenship. Application may be made for one or more of these programs however, only one program will be offered to successful applicants. Online applications and payments close on 29 March 2019.
