Rowing Summer Training Program
Below is the Summer Holidays Training Program for the Adelaide High School Rowers
Students are asked to complete at least one training session every 2-3 days to maintain and improve their fitness over the school holidays. This may include; beach run, walk up Mt Lofty, beach swim, Latitude/Bounce session OR any other physical activity.
Students are encouraged to complete these sessions in groups and email other students to alert them of the planned sessions. Everyone is then encouraged to regularly check their school email to see if there are any group sessions they may be interested in joining in."
Saturday and Sunday
Intermediates and Seniors are encouraged to engage in an independent training session each weekend to maintain their training load and fitness.
2017 Year 7s (2018 Year 8s) are encouraged to attend the Friday 10am-12pm on-water sessions on the Torrens. Year 7's are also welcome to attend the Wednesday 8-10am strength & conditioning sessions in the Southern Studios. This will be a good opportunity to see how the rest of the program train and to begin to develop their own fitness.
