- This is a useful index of chemistry
resources on the web. Choose a general category e.g. Atmospheric chemistry
then browse through sites listed for something more specific e.g. acid

An education site providing facts, figures, and other interesting information
about petroleum, natural gas and their products.

Plastics
- American
Plastics Council Classroom
The American Plastics Council is dedicated to education. Because of
this, APC websites, such as http://www.ameriplas.org,
have dedicated sections to the advancement of education. The Classroom
section of the Ameriplas website (http://www.ameriplas.org/apcorg/classroom/classroom.html)
provides teachers with excellent resources. For instance, "Hands
on Plastics" is an educational kit designed for classroom use.
The kit is full of background materials, recycled plastic resins, lesson
plans, and activities. The kit also gives students the opportunity to
see the uses that exist for recycled plastic today. There is also a
link for the National Plastics Center and Museum, an online quiz, and
many more valuable resources.

Plastic bottles now come in all shapes and sizes, and Dave Birkett
is betting that the market for PET will continue to grow.
