Introduction
As part of the celebrations for La Journée de la Francophonie on March 20 the class will study a number of Francophone countries, their people, culture and location and subsequently make comparisons between them. What do they have in common? How do they differ? And how do they differ from our culture?

Task

(a). How many countries share the same national holiday? Why?
(b). Is French predominantly the main language or are other languages more popular?
(c). What are the similarities/differences between pastimes in the various countries?
