Task:
Design a bi-fold brochure on the topic of Drugs in Sport. The brochure is
intended to be distributed to sporting clubs warning players about the dangers
of drug use in sport. It needs to be catchy and interesting enough for players
to pick it up and read it.
Process:
-
Decide on the type of sport you plan on targeting, eg football, athletics,
archery, basketball, weightlifting etc
- Provide
information on the types of drugs used, short term benefits and the
dangers associated with use.
- Provide
information on drug testing such as banned drugs, testing procedures
etc
- You
will need to complete some basic research to help in the planning and
completion of this brochure.
- You
are advised to use more than one source for your research so as to gain
a better understanding of your topic.
- You
should document all sources of information that you used by compiling
a bibliography. A Bibliography
Template and a Webliography
Template (for Internet resources) can be downloaded off
the Intranet.
- Before
attempting the final brochure, spend some time planning it by constructing
a rough copy which outlines where the drawing/pictures/text/graphs/tables
will go.
- Come
up with a catchy slogan for your information brochure: it should be
creative and describe the content of your brochure.
- The
information should be presented in dot point form rather than in margin
to margin test.
- The
brochure is to be word processed using a desktop publishing program
to give it a professional finish.
