~ Drugs Assignment ~

Process:

1. In pairs research an illegal drug. Research the use and abuse of this drug.
2. Discuss also the consequences of the use and abuse of this drug on both the individual and society.
3. You will be required to debate the use of the drug and whether it should be legalised.
4. One person in your pair will need to argue for the legalisation of the drug and the other against its legalisation.
5. Your debate should last approximately 5 minutes.
6. The class will vote on who presents the most convincing argument.
7. You are advised to use more than one source for your research so as to gain a better understanding of your topic.

The debates will be held in class on Thursday Week 9 Term 3. (22 September)
You will be given all homework times and some lesson time to complete this assignment.
