Task:
Design a bi-fold brochure on the topic of alcohol. The brochure is intended
to give information about the dangers and risks of using alcohol –
both long and short term.
Process:
- You
will need to complete some basic research to help in the planning and
completion of this brochure.
- You
are advised to use more than one source for your research so as to gain
a better understanding of your topic.
- You
should document all sources of information that you used by compiling
a bibliography. A Bibliography
Template and a Webliography
Template (for Internet resources)can be downloaded off
the Intranet.
- Before
attempting the final brochure, spend some time planning it by constructing
a rough copy which outlines where the drawing/pictures/graphs/tables/text
will go.
-
Come up with a catchy slogan for your information brochure: it should
be creative and describe the content of your brochure.
-
Your brochure should include tables which outline the alcohol content
of drinks and the size of standard drinks in the various types of alcohol.
-
It should also include information regarding agencies people can contact
should they have alcohol problems.
-
The information should be presented in dot point form rather than in
margin to margin test.
-
The brochure is to be word processed using a desktop publishing program
to give it a professional finish.
