Students at Adelaide High School are encouraged to go overseas to improve their linguistic proficiency in the language or languages they are studying whilst at the same time enrich their international and intercultural knowledge and perspectives.
The school aims to have one sister school for each of its seven languages.
Students may also have the opportunity to take part in international exchanges organised through their sporting involvement in the school.

Students may choose to take part in exchanges offered by a number of organisations in Adelaide, or take part in school based visits and study tours overseas.
