The Art suite includes three classrooms to deliver painting, drawing and design, and a computer design area. Computer Art students access computers in a recently refurbished ICT room.

Students learn in air-conditioned classrooms with wireless network access. All classrooms are equipped with data projectors, with many boasting interactive whiteboards as well.

Design & Technology
The Design and Technology facilities include specialised rooms for digital photography, metalwork, woodwork, information and communication technology, electronics and design.

Most Drama classes occur in the Drama Suite whilst others take place in the Hall. The suite is equipped with a sound and lighting booth, a projector and large screen and TV / DVD facilities. It is used as a teaching room and for Drama and Music Performances.

The Hall is equipped with a professional sound and lighting system, stage and dressing room facilities and has a seating capacity of 1000. It is extensively used for formal school assemblies and functions, as well as music and drama performances.

Health and Physical Education
The Health and Physical Education resources include a gymnasium with attached classroom and exercise physiology laboratory, weights room, an outdoor gym, access to four ovals, tennis, basketball and netball courts, and the cricket program has turf and hard wickets as well as a number of practice nets. The school’s renovated boatshed on the banks of the River Torrens houses the rowing and kayaking equipment and is used by senior Physical Education and Outdoor Education students.

Heritage Listed Architecture
In 1940 an Australia wide competition was held for the design of a new boys’ high school in the city due to the overcrowding of Adelaide High School. Sixty–two designs were submitted and the winners were E. B. Fitzgerald and J. R. Brogan of Sydney. The building, which originally opened as Adelaide Boys’ High School in 1951, has been added to the State Heritage Register as it is of architectural significance as 'the first mainstream International style building in Adelaide' (R Apperly et al 'A Pictorial Guide to Identifying Australian Architecture' 1989, p 215). The school itself is of interest because of its origins as South Australia's first Government high school.

Home Economics
The Home Economics Centre has recently undergone extensive refurbishment. The domestic kitchen houses nine work areas as well as a teacher demonstration area. The centre also includes a Clothing and Textiles area as well as a commercial kitchen where Hospitality and VET Certificate 1 Kitchen Operations students work.

The ICT network includes six fully equipped computer classrooms. The Resource Centre houses two banks of computers for research and individual student work, while a wireless network allows school network and internet access to laptops across the school. Industry standard specialised software applications are available on the school’s workstations and all classrooms are equipped with data projectors.

The Languages Centre houses 8 classrooms and a fully equipped ICT room. Each classroom has Smartboard facilities and access to the wireless network. The delivery of most language classes occurs in the Language Centre.

The Library is a bright and open facility, divided into areas for class research and resource based learning, small group research, quiet reading and Senior School private study. Two banks of computers are available for students to access online information sources, or to process that information. Computers also provide quick and easy access to the school catalogue of all resources including text books, equipment and DVDs. The Library also houses extensive fiction and non-fiction collections.

The Music Suite houses three practice rooms and a large classroom for teaching and music rehearsals. Students have access to a range of instrumental teachers on a weekly basis.

Off-site facilities: Rowing Boatsheds
The school’s renovated boatshed on the banks of the River Torrens (opposite the Torrens Parade Grounds) houses the rowing equipment and provides one of two training facilities for the rowing crews. It is also extensively used by staff and students for co-curricular activities. The second boatshed at West Lakes, in the Rowing SA complex on Military Rd, is a shared facility with two other public rowing schools.

Outdoor Facilities
The parklands surround the school property. The school has access to four ovals, tennis, basketball and netball courts, and the cricket program has turf and hard wickets as well as a number of practice nets.

The school's six Science labs and two lecture theatres have been upgraded to be amongst the best in the state. The labs are specific to subject areas within Science and all are equipped with ICT facilities.

Student Services
The Student Services area houses the block textbooks and sick room, and students are able to pay for school fees and excursions and purchase bus tickets here. Students sign in and out of school through the swipe machines located in the reception area.
