With the Melbourne / MacRob Exchanges taking place in Week 5 of Term 3 (Sunday, August 12 – Wednesday, August 15), organisation has begun in earnest, with teams in the process of being selected and arrangements being made to host MacRobertson Girls High School in Adelaide and fly the Adelaide High boys over to Melbourne to compete against Melbourne High School.
The Exchanges are an integral part of the Adelaide High School experience and a highlight of the school year for many participants. The boys’ exchange had its inception in 1910 when the AHS football and rifle shooting teams visited Melbourne, and in 2010 the Exchange celebrated its 100th Anniversary in Melbourne. The girls’ exchanges began in 1913 when Adelaide girls competed in basketball and tennis matches in Melbourne, and next year when the Adelaide girls compete against MacRob in Melbourne, the 100th Anniversary of the girls’ exchange will be celebrated.
Below are the current details of the MacRob (girls) Exchange. Relevant forms are available for download. Please be aware of the deadline for payments, clothing orders and billet forms.
