The Cricket Program of Excellence Mission Statement

  • Develop positive attitudes towards sport in general and cricket in particular.
  • Foster lifelong interest in cricket to allow participation as a player, coach, umpire and administrator.
  • Develop skills, strategies and knowledge of the game through partial and theoretical situations.
  • Increase awareness of the range of future options for students through cricket and its associated fields.
  • Promote a lifestyle of health and fitness.
  • Provide quality coaching, curriculum and facilities to develop students' skills.
  • Support students in developing self-esteem and positive attitudes towards their education.
  • Create formidable teams that consistently perform at the highest level and produce cricketers with the ability to represent the state and ultimately Australia.
  • The Cricket Programme of Excellence is committed to providing the highest quality of service to its community through is culture of continuos improvement.

Program of Excellence

The Adelaide High School Cricket Program of Excellence also incorporates a talent identification selection process , whereby talented cricketers from outside the school zone can apply to enrol at Adelaide High School.   If they are successful in their application, they then commit themselves to the Cricket Program Of Excellence.

The Program of Excellence offers students:

Year 9: 9A & 9B
Year 10: 10A
First XI & Second XI
