Adelaide High School is the only public high school in the Adelaide city centre.

Adelaide, the capital city of Australia's third largest state, South Australia, has a population of about 1.2 million people.

Adelaide High School is enjoys a unique position on the western edge of the city centre, in the expansive green parklands which encircle the central business district of Adelaide.

Its central location means the school is close to a wide range of resources which we use to enhance student learning. The school's close proximity to Universities, TAFE colleges, the Adelaide City Council, the Adelaide city centre, the State Library, the Museum, Art Gallery, Parliament House and the Zoo, transport hubs, local, national and international business houses and the parklands gives our students access to experiences that are not only for school, but for life.

The school has easy access via public transport. Tram, train and numerous bus routes provide transport into the city itself and the free City Loop bus service and tram stop near the school.

The school is situated in the Eastern Adelaide Region of DECD.
