SACE Results 2018

Adelaide High School students achieved 25 Merits and 71 A+ grades, with 2 students achieving 2 Merits each. 23 students achieved perfect scores. 

Special congratulations to Alyssa Acosta, Dux of the School, with an ATAR of 99.55, 5 Merits and 5 A+s.

  • School, students and staff awarded the first Citizen of Humanity Awards in South Australia in 2004

Formula 1 in Schools Challenge

  • The Lickety Split team in 2018 won numerous awards at the Royal Adelaide Show and will compete in the 2019 National Finals.

  • The Prismatic team in 2017 won numerous awards at the Royal Adelaide Show and will compete in the 2018 National Finals.

  • The Golden Emus team in 2016 won numerous awards at the Royal Adelaide Show and competed in the 2017 National Finals.

  • The Mach 5 team came second overall in the Development Class at the Royal Adelaide Show.

  • The Golden Emus team in 2015 won numerous awards at the Royal Adelaide Show and competed in the 2016 National Finals.

  • The Pink Quattro team won numerous awards at the Royal Adelaide Show in 2012 and 2013 and subsequently competed in the 2013 National Finals in Geelong, Victoria and the 2014 national finals in Canberra. They were the first school team in the history of the Challenge to enter the National Finals in their first year of the Competition.
  • Infinity: 2nd place, Royal Adelaide Show 2014

Music

  • The Rock Band placed second at the Balaklava Eisteddfod in 2018

  • Greek Band, Stage Band, Jazz Band and Signing Choir are regularly selected as Assisting Artists at the Festival of Music

  • Jazz Band performed at the 2017 Fringe Festival and Generations in Jazz

Premier's be active Challenge

  • One of the 50 High Achieving Schools every year since 2008. In most of these years AHS was the only high school in the top 50 schools.

State Championships

  • Numerous sporting State Championships in various sports

Australian 5 Highs Cricket Carnival

  • Winner 2003, 2004, 2006, 2008, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016
  • Runner up 2007, 2009, 2010, 2017.

Head of the River

  • 2018: Winner Cudmore Cup for Schoolboys 1st 4+

Debating
